December 14, 2011 Genealogy Program – “I’ve Been Working On The Railroad”

Visitors are Always Welcome! 6:30 p.m. refreshments and social time, 7:00 p.m. genealogy program in Meeting Room A at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Presented by Walter P. (Skip) Sassmannshausen.

This presentation of the railroads and their influence in Allen County will include railroads, photos, maps, time books, operating records and historical society archives. Walter P. (Skip) Sassmannshausen is a retired high
school teacher and football coach. He wrote the railroad history section of the History of Fort Wayne & Allen County. He founded the Three Rivers Railroad Heritage Council and the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society and is editor of the Nickel Plate Road Historical and Technical Society.
