FamilySearch.org is an important resource in the toolkit of today’s armchair genealogist. While no researcher can find everything online, FamilySearch.org has databases and digital images of records from across the world.

Dawne Slater-Putt, CG is a Reference Librarian in The Genealogy Center at ACPL. She has been a board certified genealogist since 1996. She is currently Recording Secretary for the Board for Certification of Genealogists and the Indiana Genealogical Society.

“Using OneNote in your Genealogical Research”

Come early on Wednesday, December 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. This class in The Genealogy Center’s WinterTech series will show you how to use Microsoft OneNote to keep your genealogical notes, references and research in a single place and accessible from any computer. Our Computer Interest Group meets the third Wednesday evening of each month September to May in Meeting Room B at 7:00 p.m. We have a round table discussion of genealogy computer software and hardware issues from attendee questions. A genealogy related video is often shown after questions are answered.
