“A Comparison of Genealogical Software Programs” January 9, 2013 Free Educational Genealogy Program

A panel made up of ACGSI members will present and compare the Family Tree Maker, Legacy and Roots Magic genealogy software programs and their positive and negative aspects. A question and answer session will permit questions from those in attendance and a time for sharing.

“e-readers & family history”

Come early on Wednesday, January 9 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. This class in The Genealogy Center’s WinterTech series will provide a brief introduction to using your e-reader device for reading electronic books in your family history studies and how to locate ebooks online. The class will be held in the same Meeting Room A. To register, e-mail Genealogy@ACPL.Info or call (260) 421-1225.

2012-2013 ACGSI Educational Programs

See our 2012-2013 brochure of Free Educational Genealogy Programs the second Wednesday evening of each month September to May at the Allen County Public Library Meeting Room A.

Our Computer Interest Group meets the third Wednesday evening of each month September to May in Meeting Room B at 7:00 p.m. We have a round table discussion of genealogy computer software and hardware issues from attendee questions. A genealogy related video is often shown after questions are answered.

2012 in review

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,300 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.
