“Who Went Where & Did What? Using Directories in Genealogical Research” – February 13, 2013 – Free Educational Genealogy Program

This lecture identifies many different types of directories, discusses the various types of information one can hope to find in directories, and provides the researcher with ideas for location directories.

Curt Witcher, is the Senior Manager for Special Collections of the ACPL in Fort Wayne, IN where he manages The Genealogy Center, serves as general curator for that institution’s Rare & Fine Book Collection. He is Supervisor for the newly acquired Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection. Curt is a former president of the FGS, the NGS and the founding president of the Indiana Genealogical Society.

Our Computer Interest Group meets the third Wednesday evening of each month September to May in Meeting Room B at 7:00 p.m. We have a round table discussion of genealogy computer software and hardware issues from attendee questions. A genealogy related video is often shown after questions are answered.
