“Naturalization Records of Our Ancestors” April 12, 2017 presented by Melissa C. Tennant – Free Educational Genealogy Program

Did your ancestor take the steps to become a U.S. citizen? This lecture will demonstrate why citizenship records are helpful when researching an immigrant ancestor, the documents created during the process, and where to look for naturalization records.

Melissa C. Tennant is the Assistant Manager of our Genealogy Center and has been on our staff since 2007. She holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida. She has presented lectures at national genealogical conferences
