Technology in Genealogy Users Group Meeting – November 16, 2019
The topic for discussion this month is the library’s new catalog, WISE that launches November 11, and how genealogists can most successfully use it.
We meet at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday morning of the month in the Discovery Center at the Allen County Public Library, Genealogy Center, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN. The library has a web page describing the new WISE website here.
Please begin brainstorming about the December technology topic.

“Digital Newspaper Sources in The Genealogy Center” presented by Delia Cothrun Bourne on November 13, 2019 – Free Education Program
Newspapers can be a great source of information about your ancestor, from birth announcements and wedding descriptions to gossip, both scandalous and mundane. Learn the sources available to you to locate electronic newspaper databases in The Genealogy Center.
Delia Cothrun Bourne, staff member of The Genealogy Center since 1983, has worked with PERSI as an editor and encoder for over twenty-five years. She was a writer for the History of Fort Wayne and Allen County 1700-2005.
