“Using Technology in DNA Research” – Saturday, February 15, 2020

Genealogy Center librarian Sara Allen will lead a discussion on using technology in DNA research.

The Technology in Genealogy Users Group meets at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday morning of the month in the Discovery Center at the Allen County Public Library, Genealogy Center, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN.

“Pennsylvania Genealogy: Doing Research in the Keystone State” presented by John Beatty on February 12, 2020 – Free Education Program

This presentation is a general overview of Pennsylvania sources, including vital records, church records, land records, and other research tools. It is designed for the beginner who is interested in learning more about what is available for Pennsylvania, both online and in printed form.

John Beatty, staff member of The Genealogy Center since 2002, is a Certified Genealogist with a Master’s degree in History and Library Science from the University of Michigan.
