October 14, 2020 – Finding Unknown Fathers or Grandfathers by DNA – Free Genealogy Program
Have a family secret in your family? Those with unknown fathers or grandfathers may not have found any traditional genealogical records naming their father or grandfather. A next step is to take a DNA test. Learn how to find an unknown father or grandfather by DNA testing.
Sara Allen is a senior librarian at The Genealogy Center of the Allen County Public Library. She is the administrator of the Mitchell Y-chromosome surname project at FamilyTreeDNA. She has completed several advanced DNA courses at the Genealogical Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP).
