This presentation will offer a brief intro into the history of gravestone styles and symbolism. Learn how particular images or forms were used during different time periods and the meaning behind them.
Joy M.Giguere is an Assistant Professor of History at Ivy Tech Community College. Originally from Maine, her areas of expertise include the evolution of gravestone and cemetery styles over time and their relationship to broader social and cultural patterns in American society.
